Your data, your rights, our commitment
Fantasy Squad (“we”, “our”, or “the Platform”) is committed to protecting the privacy of its users (“you”, “user”). This policy describes how we collect, use, protect, and share your personal data when you access or use the Platform, including the website, any mobile applications, and related services. This policy complies with European regulations on personal data protection (EU Regulation 2016/679 – GDPR).
This policy applies to all Platform features, including those accessible without registration (e.g., blog and guides) and those reserved for registered users (e.g., account creation and management, teams, push notifications, messages, and published content).
The data controller responsible for the processing of your personal data is Vincenzo Alessio Arena, who operates Fantasy Squad as a natural person. Contact: contact@fantasysquad.net — for any question about this policy or to exercise your rights (see "User Rights").
We collect different data depending on the features used: 2.1 Browsing Data When you access the Platform, we automatically collect technical information necessary to enable the proper functioning of the site and monitor performance: IP address, device and browser type, operating system, requested resources (URL, pages visited), time and duration of browsing, any errors or server response codes. 2.2 User-Provided Data When you decide to use optional services, such as creating an account or sending support requests, we collect: First and last name or nickname, email address, content you decide to share, such as comments, messages, or posts. 2.3 Data for Future Features The Platform is designed to collect data related to potential payments, FS Plus subscriptions, or push notifications, always subject to explicit prior consent. 2.4 FS Plus Rewarded Unlocks In our mobile apps you can choose to watch a rewarded video to unlock FS Plus features for 15 minutes. When you complete a video, we record — linked to your account — when the unlock was granted and when it expires, the platform (iOS or Android), the feature that prompted it and a random code that identifies that single video. We keep the same record when we give you a free unlock because no video could be shown.
Your personal data is processed to: 1. Enable browsing and use of Platform features, including those without registration. 2. Respond to support requests or contact via email or form. 3. Manage and improve Platform features, including anonymous statistics and content optimization. 4. Send push notifications or promotional communications only if you have provided explicit consent. 5. Securely manage any future payments or FS Plus subscriptions. 6. Publish user-generated content, only if voluntarily provided and approved. 7. Grant the temporary FS Plus unlocks you request by watching a rewarded video, and prevent their abuse (for example, with a daily limit).
Data processing is based on: • Performance of contractual measures (access to services, account creation, team management, temporary FS Plus unlocks you request). • Express consent for sending notifications or promotional communications. • Legitimate interest in ensuring the security, efficiency, and functionality of the Platform. • Compliance with legal obligations, where necessary.
• Browsing data is kept for the time strictly necessary for the Platform's operation and the generation of aggregate statistics, after which it is anonymized. • Support requests sent via email or the contact form are kept for as long as needed to handle them: closed requests are deleted 12 months after they were sent, and no request is kept longer than 24 months. • Account-related data is kept as long as the account remains active. When you delete your account it is deactivated immediately and permanently erased after 30 days; your teams' results remain in the leagues you played in only in anonymised form, because other members' standings depend on them. • Records of your cookie choices are kept as proof that consent was collected; the IP address is stored only in shortened form, and the record is unlinked from you when your account is deleted. • User-generated content is kept only for the time necessary for publication and review. • Records of rewarded FS Plus unlocks are kept as long as the account remains active and are deleted together with it.
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only: • With technical providers that process it on our behalf as data processors, under appropriate agreements: hosting and content delivery, image storage (Cloudinary), transactional email (Resend), push-notification delivery (Google Firebase Cloud Messaging), and analytics and diagnostics tools. In particular, we use Google Analytics 4 and Google Analytics for Firebase (provided by Google Ireland Limited and Google LLC) to measure aggregate, anonymised usage of the website and our mobile applications, only after you have given your consent. • With Google, acting as an independent controller, for the advertising shown in our apps (Google AdMob) and on our website (Google AdSense), within the choices described in the "Advertising" section. • With the other members of the leagues you join, who see your username, your teams and their results — this is how the game works. • With public authorities, only where required by law.
Some of our providers — in particular Google (Google Analytics 4 and Google Analytics for Firebase) — may process data on servers located outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where this occurs, the transfer is protected by the safeguards required under the GDPR: Google is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, and transfers are additionally governed by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. Analytics data is collected only after you grant consent, is IP-anonymised where technically supported, and is not used to identify you personally. Any future services involving international transfers will be managed with equivalent safeguards.
At any time you can: • Request information on what data we process and how we use it. • Access your personal data and receive a copy of it in a structured, machine-readable format (portability): Settings → Account security → Download my data. • Correct or supplement your data from your Profile. • Delete your account and your personal data: Profile → Delete account, or follow the instructions at fantasysquad.net/account-deletion. • Limit or object to the processing of your data for specific purposes. • Revoke any consent you gave, without affecting the lawfulness of the processing carried out before. For any request, write to contact@fantasysquad.net — we reply within one month. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority: in Italy the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (www.garanteprivacy.it), or the data protection authority of the EU country where you live or work.
We adopt appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, loss, or unauthorized disclosure. The user is responsible for content shared voluntarily, including messages and publications.
Our mobile apps for iOS and Android display advertising provided by Google AdMob. To do so, AdMob may process your device's advertising identifier — the IDFA on iOS or the Google Advertising ID (AAID) on Android — approximate location derived from your IP address, and data about the ads you are shown and interact with, in order to deliver ads, limit how often you see the same ad, and measure performance. Before any ad is requested we ask for your consent through Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP), a consent management platform certified by Google and registered with the IAB Europe Transparency & Consent Framework. On iOS we additionally ask for your permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt before the advertising identifier is accessed; Android has no equivalent system prompt, so there your UMP choice alone determines whether the advertising identifier is used to personalise ads. If you decline any of these requests you can still use every feature of the app — you will simply see non-personalised ads, based only on general context rather than on your interests. You can review or withdraw your advertising consent at any time from Settings → Cookie Preferences → Manage ad privacy choices. On iOS you can also reset Apple's tracking permission in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking; on Android you can reset or delete your advertising identifier in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads. Google acts as an independent controller for the advertising data it processes; see Google's own information at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and the list of ad technology providers shown inside the consent form. Users with an active FS Plus subscription are not shown ads and no advertising identifier is processed for them. Watching a rewarded video to unlock FS Plus features for 15 minutes is always optional: it is an ordinary AdMob ad covered by the choices above, no other ads are shown during the 15 minutes it unlocks, and we send Google only a random code for that video — never your name, email address or account details. Our website (fantasysquad.net) uses Google AdSense separately, governed by the choices you record in our cookie banner.
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. Based on the date of birth you provide, users under 16 are only shown non-personalised ads: their advertising identifier is not used to tailor ads, and ad requests are flagged to Google as coming from a user under the age of consent. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, write to contact@fantasysquad.net and we will delete it.
